good point, i do remember some talk i've read on here or somewhere else about a 3 or 4 valve per cylinder engine on the next engine for the L, sounds impressive. The gt40 is a great car though, one of hte first racing cars produced by ford from way back in the day.
The GT40 is also on the cover of this months Car & Driver. Also in that issue is the radar detector test.

Quote From Car and Driver
Here's what Car and Driver had to say about the motor,
"For motivation there's a 5.4 liter 32-valve supercharged and intercooled V-8 (think Lightning truck motor with twice the valve count) making roughly 500 horsepower and 500 pound-feet at 6 to 8 psi of boost, and channeling that thrust through a Tremec RBT six-speed transaxle."
Nice. Put it in the next generation L (along with the 6-speed) and sign me up.

if ford made that motor available. the lightning gang of mad scientists would have that thing scattered all over the 1320, within 6 months of it's release, in the quest for 700hp and 10's, or something
