I am glad you can laugh about it, I know if I blew mine up I wouldn't be this upbeat.

When you go down to Jim's say hi to my truck. I have a feeling she is lonely.

I hope every thing works out OK for you

Don

Does that mean with the 2lb upper and the 6lb lower that =28? My thoughts, 6+8=14, 14X2=28 Is this correct math?????????

12.1 on F1's Wow, that is fast.
I was sick when my motor blew.
I lost the number 3 rod then it broke the number5 and number 7 rod. Hole in the pan and a big hole in the block.
Went to a different combo. I am very happy with what I am running and who I have doing the tuning this time. I am running a 4# lower and and stock upper on the new motor. I am to scared to do the 6#lower and 2#upper pulley.

Eight pounds of boost plus boost bypass = bad idea. Too much boost and not enough release will *** up a motor quick.

Cool

Something else to consider is most new stock trucks are 8-9 pounds of true boost from factory then comes the airkit and throttle body another 1# plus chip and 8#'s from pullies then the cold air is good for another 1# along with lean conditions from the cold dry air so he could of been pushing upwards of 18-19#'s of boost when it blew! Cold weather is very hard on our trucks unless you have a chip that is programmed for it!

OK Thanks for the answers, I just thought, (Thought wrong) that the upper pulley multipled the lower, but instead just adds the lbs of boost to the lower number. Thanks

This is why the 6lb lower will be my limit. I think with the 6lb & a open filter I am be close to 15 or 15.5 tops. It seems to me once you pass 17 you get on deadly or timebomb style stuff. If you have a good chip, you let off when you get in a spinning cituation, & listen for pinging, you shouldnt have a problem. Thats my thoughts. Of course there will be mechanical failures from time to time. If you stay away from the top pulley you can really put the truck back to the stock look to. I ran 15lbs on my 91 GT with slight mods and never had a problem. Any Comments?
