Blown Harley Runs 11.5

well thats what he said at least, i was at the store yesterday, and i'm walkin up to my truck (a R/T) i know i knowthey're slow right..anyway the asks me what i have done and i tell him and that i run a 13.8 and stuff and he tells me that hes blown 8lbs, and thats it, he says it runs 11.5 with just that and that out of the 750 made per year or whatever he was talkin about, his was the only one blown from the factory and its a 2000, now that i think about it, i shoulda asked him to race or at least have him pop the hood, hope he had a shovel to scoop up all the bs he left in the parking lot..

Really? I thought he was talking about his 0-60 times, HAHAHAHHAHAHAHA

Tell him to pop the hood and see if he even has a eaton blower! Ten ask him if he's got the tranny and rear end to back up all that power, cause with a truck that large going 11.50's you would have to be making ATLEAST 600 rear wheel HP and some serious A$$ TRQ like 800 or so!

Ask him if he rebuilt the motor also, and if he says NO! he's even more full of chit cause those factory rods would crumble like a pretzel! there breaking on our trucks going 11.50's with only 4300 lbs of weight! That HD has got to be everybit of 6000lbs!

It takes us every bit of 500 RWHP to run mid 11's!

Race him, even with a blower on his truck, it should be a good race and you'll be able to beat him even if he replaced his motor with an L motor stock.

If it was a blown bike - that would be understandable.

I met a guy with a Lightning the other day who said he ran a 10.2 with Heads and Cams, a chip and a 150 shot. Is that possible? what kind of power do the head/cams give? When I asked him about the tires he used on that run he started talking about BFG's and Nitto drag radials. I told him that if he actually ran a 10.2 that it was the fastest Gen.2 I've ever heard of.

This guy kept trying to tell me that the stock Throttle Body is better than any oval throttle body, and same with the air box. I'm not that familiar with nitrous, but there was no indication of a system ever being in his truck. His truck looked like a stock 00.

Sort of sounds like the guy I encountered last year. I spotted a new silver '01 in front of the dealership and went over to check out the new wheels, etc. This dude in a cowboy hat comes up and says its his. I mention that I have a silver '00, and he proceeds to tell me how lame my truck is compared to his, and how it makes 500 h.p. and runs low 11s stock. After I picked my jaw up off the floor I suggested that we meet later and have a little race, for maybe $500, but he said he was too busy. I found out later that his truck was bone stock, and with the mods I had then I would have wasted him. Also found out that he was a world class bull shooter. Hope I run into him again so I can call him out for a little money race.

Jbl...

A Lightning would need close to 1000 hp (or maybe more) to run a 10.2 quarter mile. Id say thats close to impossible with a 5.4.

Just to let you know, Ford is letting out a 02' HArley with a 340 HP version of the L. Of course that's not what this guy said, but still cool .
