Unhappy lightnings getting slower

i read in another post that your L gets slower after like 40,000 miles is this true? why does this happen? and how much slower do they get?

well if they work anything like me, then they just get old and fatter j/k, still not fat, just had to say it

SVTMike, generally, cars and trucks begin to slow down around 40,000 miles due to wear on the engines and transmissions. Fortunately, additional speed is only a pulley change away.

If you find the truck is slowing down, just bolt on another mod.

Or you could do what we keep doing, blowing a motor every 18,000 miles.
