clearcoat peeling on wheels???

Has anyone else had a problem with the clearcoat changing to a slightly off white/yellowish color on 99/00 rims?? I noticed a few spots on mine. The spots are mainly on the sides of the spokes, the outwards facing part of the wheels are fine. Does anyone think this would be a warranty item for 4 new wheels????????
It isn't bad, but it is annoying and getting somewhat noticeable.

They will probably say you use a harsh cleaner and that is causing the clearcoat to change color and/or pop off. I would say when you can or if you want. Dismount the tires, take the wheels to a paint shop, and have them custom paint you a nice silver or aluminum color and put a few layers of clear on it. One guy here did it and they look 3 times better than stock!!!

If it's the passenger side behind the exhaust you have a grip. In 98 ford recalled alot of f150's with exhaust ahead of the rear passenger wheel beacause of the exhaust screwing up the rims.

I got 2 new rims that way. But i also kept my gibson ahead of the rear wheel instead of out back anyway.

Anyone else had trouble with rim discolors on lightnings?

I wrote peeling off, but it isn't actaully peeling. It is turning that off white/yellowish color and it can easily be scraped off with a fingernail. It os obviously the clearcoat.
How much does clearcoating run for the wheels??????? The only problem there is having the L sidelined for a couple of days.

I had my 99 rims replaced for this under warranty.
