LFP Ring and Pinion

Just wondering if anyone has purchased the ring and pinion 3.73 gears from LFP, if the quality is good, installation is ok...etc. Because 189.00 is a great price for 3.73 gears. Someone help me out here, thinking about purchasing them.

Gears are made by U.S. Strange, according to Mark they are the same manufacturer that makes the gears for Ford.
I bought a set from Mark and will have them installed this weekend. I'll let you know how it goes.

Bet ya can't wait
Please let me know how it goes, I'd be very interested to see, by the way, who you have installing the gears? Just curious.

Mark's a great guy, very accomodating. My L went in for rear-axle surgery late last week, and they shipped the wrong clutch packs, for compensation the dealer is 'comping me the install for a new set of gears, so frantically I called up Mark and wala, they should be here tomorrow morning to get installed into my truck!!

Go for it, I just talked to him, he has both 3.73's and 4.10's in stock, but the 4.10's were a bit too rich for my cheap ***.

Thumbs up

Great price for Gears. I know Jegs was also offering them at that price when I did my swap back in late 99.
Not worth paying close to 500 bucks like some Vendors sell them for. IMO

that's for sure...some vendors are asking $100 more for them, just wondering if anyone could tell me where I could get the gears installed...

Hey Shadow! I'm actually getting a Ford Mechanic from one of the dealerships to do the install for me.
It's good to have friends in Ford.
He's also installing the tranny pan and line mod valve for me at the same time.
Now if only this damn snow would stop!
Later...

Talking Hey Shadow!!!

Got the gears installed, along with the tranny line mod valve, and DAMN it is one of the best mods that I've ever purchased.
If you haven't already get them!!! Just make sure to get the instsall kit. And make sure that everything is in the box.
Later...
