Looking for a good head unit(cd/dvd)player

I want one of those head units thats a stereo/dvd/cd player. You know the ones that have a fold out screen on them. I think they are like $1000-1500.00. Any ideas on what to get? thanks

Well Im not sure how much those units go for over in Texas, but I just got the Pioneer avx-p7300dvd. Thats the one with the in dash fold out screen and dvd built in for $1,850 installed out here in Cali, and wll i think it was a good deal anf plus i like the look of it and the screen is really clear.

Is that the one that you can actually watch regular TV on it also? They had a Bad **** looking Pioneer at Best Buy and they wanted 2300.00 for it, cause its able to pick up television.. I dont need that, just want to play dvd's and cd's. The pic on the pioneer was really clear.

I have the Kenwood Excelon KVT-910DVD. Its a CD/DVD player, it recieves i think 80 tv channels, and its touch screen. Its awsome, I love it. I got it for 2,300 + 310 install. pretty good deal considering the kenwood website says that the MSRP is 2800. it has a spereate brain which i have under the seat. the brain has all the connections, so whenever you want to add an amp, a video source, touchscreen navigation(cominig soon), all you gotta do is plug it in to the brain under the seat. much easier than taking the whole screen out. i think most indash monitors have a "brain" though.

I have the kenwood waiting for me to install.

I would go with alpine but well see what they do at the CES show next week and if the release a DVD head unit.

The pioneer is a nice unit, as long as you get the Top of the line processor with it, Its the 9000 model number processor.

the kenwoods had a few minor screen problems, and i dont like that the dont fold out and pop up like the alpine(as you can tell im an alpine man at heart) But i dont wanna run a double din in the Dash for now cause thats where im putting my center chanel.

If your intrested in the kenwood i have a few at the shop, So i could work with you if your intrested in 1, Shoot me an email.
