They are going to really be out on I95. I have some friends that hinted me off to it. All over I95 is what I was told. They are expecting alot of people going up towards DC & alot coming to Richmond. Please be careful, you know VA State guys dont cut much slack!!!

I just got back from Richmond on I-95 and they're already there.

 

Gotta love those state poopers!!!! Every ticket I have ever had has been from a pooper!!!

If you are a safe driver, like myself, then you have nothing to worry about!!!(cough-bullchit--cough)

It's as good an excuse as any to fatten the state coffers.

At least WRT New Years, they're primarily looking for DUI / DWI, which is a good thing (arresting them that is).
Since my V1 is yet not installed, I wasn't noticing if they were using radar, but Friday night, coming back from shooting, in Chantilly, I saw 8 troopers on 66...

I've *heard* that having a carry permit & associated heater helps - with the right attitude... it allegedly lets the cop know you're a law abiding kind of guy/gal, puts them more at ease (again, with the proper attitude), and you might just get some slack... hopefully, I won't have to test that theory...

Use a blocker if at all possible, let someone else draw the cop's attention...
