I towed a FULL 6' x 12' enclosed trailer with the drop shackles.

I should have bought a taller hitch to even out the load. Lesson learned.

It towed fine

I tow a 21' toy hauler w/ load equalizing hitch, and have the 2" drop shackles. I went with air bags in the rear. I needed additional travel when loaded. The axle would hit my "shaved" bump stops. I air up the bags to about 30# to lift the rear back up to stock height while towing, and carry about 5# in them for regular street use. Works for me!
