Will lowering the rear ONLY with 2" shackles give....

similar clearance to fender wall in the back and the front so as to give an "EVEN" look?

I met a couple guys last night @ Tower Shops, and the rides looked great with just a 2" drop in the back.........definitely convinced me that that's the way to go.....

I was just looking for more feedback and opinions from those who may have the same setup.......How's the ride? Any adverse effects? How's it look?

thanks,
JC

Looks great, hooks great, but I think I feel the rearend shifting more in the twisties. I may have to eventually get a panhard bar for mine. I just like for everything to feel tight and solid. All in all it is an acceptible anoyance. Maybe not even noticable to most. I am a bit picky.

Yep Miami:

The Belltech 2" drop shackles gives an 'even-front-rear' look. I haven't noticed any degrading in handling but I haven't 'pushed' it in the twisties--just 1/4 miled and daily driven it.

Mark at Lightning Force Performance sells them.

I totally agree...

I used the Belltech 2" rear shackle kit & am very pleased. I like the way it levels everything up. Very inexpensive upgrade for the difference in appearance, IMO.

I don't really mind if handling wise it's affected " a little", but I just don't want the ride to be Rough, and /or bouncy........did your ride comfort change at all from stock?

2" Beltech evens everything out real nice. I haven't noticed any difference in the ride quality.

And the beautiful part is it's cheap and very easy to install!!

I thought it was me, but after installing the 2" shackles on my 99, the a$$end never felt right to me. So what Mr Odin's saying I completely agree with. When I traded trucks EVERYTHING came off the 99 with the exception of the 2" drop shackles. Iam with Speedin Bob, the panhard bar will be my next investment and then down the road.......maybe next week?.........I'll purchase a "complete" lowering kit

shackles

Hey Miami white i have the 2" Belltechs from LFP and now it does sit "more" level. And the front and rear both measure 32 1/2 inches at the top center of the fender opening.

Wink

Never noticed any loss of performance with my bell tech or x brand 2 in shackles on the twisties. As far as the 1320 this may actually help your 60 ft. Anybody contemplating using fiberglass leaf springs should skip the drop shackles as you will end up having to put the stockers back on to use these springs.
