I have a 00 Lightning. I want to buy a set of wheels and tires off a guy who has 16 inch all weather tires and rims that came off his 99 Lightning. Will they fit my 00? Any imput would be appreciared. Thanks. Bob.

 

SVT BOB- Ford changed the wheel stud size about mid year in 2000. From 97-first part of 00, wheel studs where 12mm. After that, they went to 14mm. My 00 Expedition has a build date of 07/00 and it has the newer 14mm studs. The only way to be sure is measure the width of them,you know he has the 12mm, so measure yours and see if they are 12 or 14, then you'll know if they fit. We tried to put the stock wheels off my 00 on a guys 99 Expedition. The stud holes in the wheels had too much slack in them and were moving around,and the center cap would not snap on to the smaller 12mm stud bolts. Hope this helps ya out.
