Too sweet looking, floor shift, almost SVT looking wheels and Eagle tires (very close to what Lightnings have). Little light in my head goes off, "I wonder if I could get a 6.8L V-10 in one of these?" Potentially a very nice sleeper ride...

Saw a true blue at the dealer the other day, i thought it was cool. when in can't afford my Lightning i'll probably look into one probably a good deal on x-plan.

 

To answer your question yes. There have been swaps done with both the 5.4 V8 and the 6.8 V10. There are also a few 4.6 DOHC engine swaps that have been done. Look at Kenny Brown's site he has one with a V10 and all his suspension parts on it. He also sells a package called the panther with a eaton roots supercharger on it. Both of these cars were in an issue of Popular Hot Rodding not too long ago so you may be able to search there for the article. Hope that helps.

Factory Tech -

There is a mechanic at a local dealership that has put the V-10 in a Crown Vic. The hood had to be cut; don't know why or what kind of intake he is runnig. At one time I believe he had (still might) some type of blower or twin turbos. Talk about a sleeper.

 

The LX sport crown vic looks good, but they left the same plain ol 4.6 engine in it!!!! The maruader is a sweet looking car!!!!! I heard it will be out later this model year.

 

 

 

Nice ride, sure beats the he/\/\ out of a 95 Chevy boat, my local dealer has one and they havn't sold it, it's been there for lik 5 years. But that is truly a nice lookin car!
