missing shift :(

ahhh,,,, showing off truck to relatives on christmas and while making their heads lurch back,,, missed a shift, nothing on the truck was hurt, it just sucks to be showing it off and having the engine rev up so high without the truck really moving

one question for everyone with clear corner sidelights too,, are those "crystal clear" like our headlights are, or are those just like normal standard white but can't see through them lights??

thanks for any help with the corner lights,,, really not so worried about the shift.

its only missed a shift twice in its lifetime,,, its an 01 with 2000 or so miles on it, and the only mod right now is an air filter kit and an oil breather cap. Just suprised about it missing a shift like that.

SLVRTNG where did you buy your cleare corners from,, the online store here??

Did the same thing in mine, popped a snap ring or a seal in the forward clutch and had delayed engage afterwards, got the tranny replaced. Talk about embarassing....

SVRTLING it says bidding is at 19.95 with 48 minutes left,, just wondering if this is good deal for ebay, or its at a high price for now?

If the truck misses a shift again i'll definately have to see whats going on,, it'd be best to get it checked out while i am still in no worry of voiding warrenty.

WT,

I paid 34.95 with shipping for mine, so I'd say that's pretty cheap...JR

Were you manually shifting the AT OR have you done the swap to a 5 or 6 speed manual?
If you were just manually shifting the AT...........STOP DOING IT
. It's not worth the pain that you will encounter.

If you've done the swap to a manual............You own the greatest burnout vehicle alive.

whitetoast11 - Did it seem to hang in a shift, like taking to long to shift? I've had that happen on mine.

Also if you only have a K&N panel filter and oil breather on your truck, do you get any check engine lights b/c of the breather?
