All that burned carbon on the plates would concern me. Is your PCV overactive? How many miles on that booger?

The truck only has 5300 miles, it doesn't appear to be carbon but rather a soft oily gunk build up, when I removed it oil came running out. I'm going to get a oil breather and see if that doesn't help, I'll check it again in a few thousand miles.

The breather cap will definitely help!!!!!!! Mine wasn't as bad as the pictures of yours but the back pressure when you let up on the throttle will blow oil into the throttle body. You may even want to do both sides the cap on one and a small piece of hose on the other side with a small K&n filter, that should eliminate all of the blow by....
Good luck
Jerry

A breather will stop 90% of the oil from getting in the intake.

Mine was like yours, then I put the breather cap on at about the same millage your truck has on it now.

I recently installed a new throttle body( at about 22,000 miles) and the intake was dry as a bone.

I emediately noticed a difference in throttle response, the roads are wet here today so I could'nt give it a thorough test. It's not often you can purchase a performance mod and appearance mod in one piece I'm very happy with it.
