He was in front of me getting on the highway and nailed it, so I followed. He never pulled away, but I didn't gain very much either...was a fun little jaunt, we had at it a couple times before I turned off my exit for the movies... I'd say we were about equal match, though his handling looked a bit better then mine.

No, the XJR is a Supercharged V-8.

 

I think its the 4.0 liter V8 with 370 bhp. I forgot the torque. It has a different version of the eaton roots type supercharger.

 

we used to have 2 of them those things are fast as hell. there a fun car 2 drive too. they really just take off

 

My wife just picked up a XKR the other day. She has been a die hard Benz woman for about 20 years. I told her if she'd drive one she'd like it. She did. She does.

Joking, I said "With a 4.0l supercharged V8 with 370hp?"
He just shook his head yes.
I said "Those things are like $80k"
He just shook his head yes.

It was her car and she paid for it (she makes more money than him, a lot more)

I keep telling him to get it from her so we can carpool to work in it.

I was at the local track last week and I saw an AMG Mercedes do high 13s in the 1/4 mile.All I know about the car is that they are SC as well..

 

Yeah, I was glad to run into someone who wanted to drive it...it was fun.
