Damn Spark Plugs

Checked my spark plugs today to see if they were loose and how bad they were. Got to the 3rd plug from the front on the passanger side and pulled the wire off and the rubber boot stuck to the plug. I tried pulling it off but a very little piece of the rubber came off. I just slid the spring back in and said the HE!! with it. Anyone know how to get it off? Aslo anyone knoe where i can get a new one besided ford? thanks.

I am not to sure if u have to buy the complete coil pack or can change the rubber boot. The coil packs are like $50 each...

Sorry, so used to working on cars with plugs and wires. I pulled the coil off and the rubber boot came off, it stuck to the plug. I then took some pliers, twisted the boot and pulled and a little piece of the rubber came off. I said the He!! with it and slid the sping back through what was left of the boot and bolted it back down. No problems now but i am scared when it rains and condensation can/might get into the boot. Anyone know where i can get one and how to get the mother off?

Spanky:

You can buy a set of 'picks'. Saw a set at Sears last wk. One of the picks will have a 'hook' at its end. Pull the coil off and then guide the 'hook' down below the bottom of the ruber and start puilling it up. Move the 'hook' around the circumference of the boot bottom and you should be able to work it loose. Remember, the plug is canted top towards the firewall so you'll need to pull upward and slightly to the rear. BTW, I've never done this but I think it will work--hope so.
