It's called the "Lightning Rod" been around for some time. Concept truck, doubt if it will ever come about.

I think it looks great!!

 

If I remember correctly that was a concept vehicle called the Lightning Rod, with no current plans for production...or maybe it's just my wishful thinking that Ford doesn't produce that hideous thing...

these pics have been circulating for a while. It was in fact a concept truck. These came out back in like 97-98 before gen 2's were produced. It was infact labeled the lightning rod. Notice the similarities of the grill with the 2001 explorer sport and sport trac. There is another concept truck pic out there that looks way better. Mean looking street rod affect.

Yea, that's hideous... The funny thing is Chevrolet is coming out with there version of the Lightning Rod in 2003, and is already set for production. (I belive it's called the SSR or something like that.) I never though i'd say it, but it's not as bad as that!!! Pretty rough though... Looks like the Aztek/Avalance design team hasn't been fired quite yet..
