I have the 305-55-18 Nitto 404 Extremes on my truck, and have for two sets now, and they not only fit the rim nicely, but also fill up that wheel well for a perfect looking fit. The rubber compound is harder than the F1's so they last quite a bit longer.......at least on the front. Traction is excellent until about half way through the tread and then they start to get a little slippier........like the F1's do.

My L is lowered, 2/4 So Cal, and the only time I ever get a slight rub is when you go over a hump or dip that throws the entire weight of the truck down on itself. Removing the two screws that hold the insert helped eliminate even most of that.

Not a tire you would want to road race on, but for street driving it's not bad at all.

One note......don't try to fit an air kit through the front fender well......no room.

Tim

A couple of thing on this.
The recomended wheel width from Michelin for the 335/30/18 is 12-13". They actually have the measurements listed on a 12" wide wheel.
The 345/35/18 is recommended for a 11.5-12" wheel. They also have measurements for this tire on a 12" wheel(look at link posted above.)
The 335/30/18 is on sale right now for $187.00 at www.tirerack.com if anyone was interested.

Hey BABolt any way Some of us could get are wheels widdened like yours. I would like to go out to 11.5 or 12" if possable so I could run the 345/35-18 pilots in the rear. I have two extra wheels waiting to have this done.

NCETRY -

When Weldcraft widens a wheel it has to be done on the inside part of the rim. You are adding backspacing. You would have to measure to see how much room you have back there. I'm guessing you could not go as wide as you want, plus, I'm not sure about how strong and extra 2-3" of metal would be on a rim. 1" seems to be ok.

I think you may be looking at some custom wheels if you really want to do it.....be prepared to spend 1200 - $1500 a wheel.
