No response from sal so ill post here
here are three emails i sent a few days ago and got no response so it tgought i would post here. sorry for buggin you sal, but im really curious
1st Email:
I plan on ordering a 4-way chip from you after christmas. Now all I need to know is what programs to get. I live in an area where there is only 91 octane. So I was told I needed a chip that was tuned for lower octane gas. I was also told that you have many differenct pgrograms such as street, mild street, agresive street, race, low octane, valet, and others. Is it possible to send me a list of all the programs you have and the difference between them. Here is pretty much what I want. 1st program - as stcok as possible while still accommodating my mods. 2nd program - street, like more agresive a/f ratio, increased line pressure, higher rev limiter, top speed limiter removed, etc.. 3rd - race program. 4th - im stuck on this one. i dont know if i want the valet, or some other type of street program. any suggestions?
soon after i buy the chip i will be buying your filter setup along with your FASTair setup. how different would the programs be between my current setup and the setup with the new filter and FASTair. Would it be alright to burn the chip for the filter and fastair to avoid having to send it back for a reburn. If anything I would be running a little bit rich which isnt that bad, right? Or would it be best to just burn it for the setup I have now?
thanks
joe santana
my mods are: your valve body, your 2# pulley, K&N panel filter, and exhaust.
2nd Email:
Do you have california specific programs? I was thinking of getting a 4way chip with street and a "hot" street program tuned for normal CA gas, a street program tuned for CA winter gas, then a race program. Can you do this?
thanks
joe
3rd Email:
I was told if I was going to get a chip I should get an oil breather cap to. Even though you dont sell the oil breather, can you still program that into a chip?
thanks
joe

your right, i dont need a 4 prog chip, but i do want 3 programs. normal street, agressive street, and race. sice theres only a 2 or a 4 porg chip, i guess i have to go with the 4 prog chip. and since its only 70 dollars more than the dual prog chip, i might as well go with the it.
Joe, I'll try to spend some time and carefully read your e-mails and get back to you in the next day or two. Things are absolutely bananas around here as of the past few weeks. With Christmas next week, we are concentrating on getting out as many orders as possible since most are gifts. We've been getting over 20 orders a day, so I just ask that you give me some time to get back to you, and I'll be more than happy to discuss what the best set up is for you.

Joe, i have the PSP four way also
Programs:
1. street
2. race program - requires 100 octane
3. stock
4. theft
I will have to get it reburned when the new blower comes out but i have been using this setup for awhile now. I have not used the race program yet as the truck sits most of the time but will surely get it to the track next year when all the mods are finished.
Hope this helps to give you an idea.

I am also in So Cal and just purchased a used 4 way chip that had
1 stock w/improved shifting
2 Street program
3 Race program 100 oct.
4 antitheft
I have had no problems with pinging or detonation at least that I can hear I also have auto tap on order so I can see if she is running lean.
I have ran the #1 and #2 programs with 91 oct. As soon as I get auto tap some 100 oct is going in and I am going to check out the race side
I can tell you it doubles the burn out distance
on the #2 program cant wait to hit the track and see what it really has done
If you can wait they pop up in the clasifieds here or on NLOC and you can save some cash.
But if you get it used be prepared to pay 100 bucks for the first reburn.

Nope I never got it reburned at all. It had the right computer code so I just followed the install instructions and plugged it in
I dont think you can get Valet mode on a 2001 or at least that is what i read
