(i kno i know "you drive this thing in the winter" hehehe) anyhow does anyone else in new england drive theirs, and if so.. Do you put any wieght in the back.. and how much? I got a bunch of these cool sand tubes at 70lbs each.

I'm not quite as far North as you, but I seem to be able to get by with about 250lbs. in the back of the bed. I have one of those cargo bars to hold it back there. I have yet to get snow tires/wheels, but I realize the F1's are capable of only so much. When we get too much of the 'white chit', I just stay home from work!

snowy lighting

theres many posts about this if you search like others made me do, but i'm not a search police a-hole!! This is what was recommended so i did it, worked out pretty good the other day in the snow. This is my first winter too. Called tirerack and got 4 16" rims with 235 70 16 michelin alpine II's mounted, balanced and shipped for under 7 beaners. Put a big rubbermaid container over he rear axle in the bed and strapped it in. Filled it with sand bags = @300 lbs. Drive carefully and you should be ok. If the roads haven't been cleared your screwed because your gonna rip the front air damn off and find it jammed under your truck. Another words if there's more than a few inches on the street, park it till they are plowed. Also, watch out for chunks of ice and stuff left in the road by the plows...........lower bumper don't like them much. I'm still trying to learn how to park my L near snowbanks without hitting them with the lower bumper.......... a few taps here and there. If you are self concious, spend an extra 60 bucks a wheel and get fancier rims. If you like hearing " nice truck!!! What's with wheels though?" Just do like me!!!

Thats cool, I work in Salem NH

I hope to see you at New England dragway this spring.

This is what I will be driving for a while, for two reasons
1) much better in the snow
2) my truck is in NJ for a while, YAAAAAAAAAAA I should have it back in January.

Only time will tell how nuts I will get being without my L for that long.

It will be worth it when I get it back, it will be one of the sickest L's in new england.

If you have any questions about your truck feel free to e-mail mw at dhco@rcn.com

What color is your truck, I'll keep a eye out for you

Red, still stock 2001. I only know of one other guy around here with a Red 2000.

I hope to head up to NE dragway and check out some L's. But I dont think I'll be racing this beast.. at least not yet

it's me it's me

if you see a red 2000 that looks like it has 4 spares on, it's me!! But i'm driving it as less as possible. I'm starting to get self concious without the svt wheels on. I had to go to my cellar and look at them the other day for reassurance. Kinda like looking at a picture of yourself before you got a really bad haircut!!
