Can somebody answer my question???, What kind of protection do this things offer?? as oppose to the bumper. Like state above i've being rear ended twice and thats the only thing stoping me from getting one.

They don't offer any protection at all over the stock one.

If you where to get rear ended they would crack up the fiber glass and hit the frame right away so I would think its worse for protection.

BUT IT LOOKS SWEET!

Thanks for responding, so pretty much frame damamge is iminent with one of these. I think i'll stay away from them.

I'm sure you could get someone to paint it for around a 100 bucks and install would take no more then 30 minutes with some help from sombody else also. I've had my rear bumper off many times, so that's a good guess.

but I'll let you know in about 1 to 2 months for sure when my new pan is getting installed

You might want to wait on getting that roll pan,there will be a better one available within a few months for our trucks!

Matt, that is the only problem with owning an L...there is always going to be a better mod around the corner lol.

Cool

Here is my Lund Roll Pan with the hidden class III hitch and flip down license plate. The hitch is what saves you when you get rear ended.

Word has it (unofficially) that there is a another company that will be making the Sir Michaels-style corners to match their existing rollpan very soon...
