I have no clue why it is on... It shouldn't be... Clear the PCM and see if it comes back on. If it comes back on find out which code(s) is popping up.

Have you been racing lately or doing any big burnouts. It sounds like you might have slightly over reved it and set off a code.

Plug it back in disconect the battery for a while and see what happens.

Red face

Same thing happened to me when I unplugged the solenoid at Irwindale. Had to disconnect the battery (I hate to do that, lose all the radio pre-sets) but the light went away.

My CEL came on as soon as I disconnected mine. It was just idling in the driveway, I didn't even get to drive it before it came on. Just reconnect, then disconnect the battery for a few minutes to clear the CEL.

Your CEL should not come on by disconnecting the boost dump plug. Mine has been disconnected for over a year now, without any light at all.

Either you have disconnected the wrong thing, or something else must be wrong.

FYI, disconnecting the battery does not lose the presets, just everything else on the radio. At least on mine it doesn't.
