Traction in Seattle
So in case you didn't know, we get a bit of rain here in Seattle (14" this month).
Does anyone have idea suggestions for decreasing wheel spin in wet weather?
The wheels don't hop, they just spin... In fact I can do a 5-10 second "burnout" and then check the tires and they are barely warm.

Just a little south of you here. It takes a little finesse to keep them point the right direction. My Snug-Lid weighs about 100-120 lbs and that helps quite a bit. A little weight in the back would do some good.
probleminfected, the Truck-Traks don't seem to help much in the wet, unless you can get some weight over the rear wheels. I have a heavy *******'sbed cover that weighs in around 100 lbs. If you can get the truck to hook, a bump will upset the traction and you will spin the tires.
In the dry, however, the traction bars will help a lot. They provide weight transfer to the rear which improves traction.
I drive with mine daily, and have logged about 30,000 miles with them on the truck. I really notice their absence when I take them off for any reason.

Go to Home Depot and pick up a 2" X 10" X 6' plank, 2 50 pound bags of sand, and a couple of heavy duty trash bags.
Cut the board to fit across the bed. Near the tailgate there is a slot on each side that the board will slide into. This will keep the bags from moving around. Put the sand bags in the trash bags and drop them in the between the tailgate and plank. 100 pounds will make a difference.
