MTX Subwoofer Box Questions

How many RCA inputs are on the subwoofer box ? Would you guys buy the box with the amp inside or use an external amp?

The MTX reseller I bought mine from told me not to use the box w/ amps because they suck. I took his word for it and put a 400wx4 under the passenger seat.
