Rousch or Hotchkis

Which kit is better. Rousch or Hotchkis? Why?

I am running the Hotchkis rear kit with Eibach springs on the front. I am very pleased with the results. I have less than $500.00 in the whole suspension kit. Take the $700.00 you will save by not buying the Rousch kit and buy the nitrous kit you were wanting and hold on!!!

I am running BellTech shackles in the rear and Hotchkis springs in the front. I am not very happy with the Hotchkis springs, and have a set of Roush front coils on the way.

They both cost about $150.00 for the front springs. I will let you know which I like better once I get the Rousg springs installed.

Don,

Why don't you like the Hotchkis springs? What's the difference between them and the Rousch?

Unless you have a shock that is tuned to the spring rate, you probably won't like it, whatever "it" is. Roush does have tuned shocks.

BTW, Bilstien won't be making tuned shocks for Hotchkis. Hotchkis would like them to, but it's not going to happen.

They are just way to stiff for me. You feel every little bump, and on big bumps or pot holes, they throw you all over the place. I hope the Roush will be better.

Yes and it's the best money I've spent on the Lightning so far.

Spike,

How pricey are those itty bitty shocks? Are they rebuildable?

About $550 to $600 (bolt on). They are rebuildable and revalvable for custom applications.

See NLOC Road Racing/HP driving School forum and Questions about shocks at NLOC for more info.
