Talking New top end speed

I got JL to pull the top-end governer on the chip for my latest reburn, and with that chip, 4 pound pulley and iridium plugs + the odometer in "test" mode I pulled the beast to 154 MPH.

HOLY $H!T.

AAAAGGGGHHH THAT'S SPORTBIKE AND BMW TERRITORY !!!!!!

I thought that our trucks didn't have any limiter on speed. I thought we just run out of motor once you get a little over 140. Is there a speed limiter or did your mods just give you the extra power to hit 154??

Later,
Roger

How did you determine the MPH?

No speed limiters on the trucks. Drag limited. Another 50mph to for sport bike territory.

I thought most super bikes were in the 175-185mph range...They have some now that will go over 200? I dont think i could hold on that fast.

Goal in life = to hit over 200 in any vehicle that goes on land(not an airplane)

The fastest production bike to date is the 1999 and 2000 Suzuki 1300 Hayabusa which was clocked at 198 in most mags (one guy in England hit 200 with a tailwind ) I own a 2000 and personally hit 200( only on the speedo ) which really is around 192 or so and that was done in one mile!! She was still pulling though I didn't have the ***** to stay on it.A lot goes through your head in those 30 seconds! After 160 aerodynamics is your best weapon because your biggest barrier becomes the wind.

The big bore bikes are knocking on 200. I sold my 2000 ZX-12/Muzzy machine. Over 200 rwhp & 475lbs wet. Never had a chance to find the top. Best calculation with my 140lbs aboard was around 215mph. It was supposed to be featured in SportBike magazine, but I got greedy and sold it for a pile of cash. The guy who bought disappeared with the bike.

I have some real straight long lengths of road here in VA. Late at night we open the toys up!!! I must say that Porshe was really nice at 182, no wind noise or anything, and the L's they are great on the top end as well. Bike are a rush fast!!!!

Dam...I got 502ci and 415hp and 72mph is the best I can do. What's up with that? To much prop slip or something.
