Replacement Grills Question
Replacement Grills Question
I'm sitting here lookin' at my stull grills and the only reason they aren't installed is because i've heard that the upper stock grill must be damaged in order to remove it! is this true or did the info result from an accidental removal?? any and all comments welcome. thanks....... jack
I just installed a Stull Speed Grill in my '01 Lightning and their was no damage to either the upper or lower grill. The bitch was the damn thing didn't fit and I had to cut and grind for an hour.
I just finished putting in the Stull Grille about 2 weeks ago and Siver Bolt is right.
On the upper grille they state in the instructions to remove the attachment ribs for the original grille.
There are about ten of them and you cut them off. I tried positioning the grille so I wouldn't have to cut the attachment tabs but the grille won't sit properly until you remove the attachments.
Even so I was very pleased with the results.
If for some reason you had to put the original grille back in I'm sure it would be fairly simple to make up some brackets and reattach the grille.
Just my 02cents worth.
