Removal

Quick question, I talked to a audio guy about putting in a thunderform and he said we would run into a problem in relocating the stock CD changer....what have u guys that have them do with them? Where'd ya put them? thanks

Well....

I've seen pictures of a guy (on here I think) that put his under the middle seat facing forward. I think that would be a good spot so you/passanger could change them cd's on the road.

I relocated mine there.

It's a great spot for it until I got the Expedition console and made it a two-seater.

oh ok...i suggested under the other seat but he was talking like you couldn't lay it down...i guess i should go somewhere else, he seems not to know chit. Under the middle seat it is....thanks guys

I think there is a switch you have to flip going from horizonal to vertical

There are holes on the side of the case where you can insert a small screwdriver and "flip the switch" so that the changer will work while laying down. Mine is under the center seat also. Works fine and a lot easier to get to, not to mention being able to change CD's while going down the road.
