The only thing the column pod blocks is the odometer, and up to about 5 mph, lol, but if you need 5mph you shouldn't be driving a lightning.

Gauges are Autometer Phantom,

Mechanical Boost (#5703)
Electric Oil Pressure (#5727)
Electrical H20 Temp (#5737)
Electrical Fuel Pressure (#5709)

Autometer Column Pod (#15004)

The pillar pod is the lotec pod, the match is pretty good i think.

If I remember correctly..........the sender goes in the top of the intake on the passenger side. There is a little embossing on the front corner.....you cant miss it. Drill and tap there

Someone told me to go to where the factory water temp gauge is and "tap" into it there???I've also heard not to tap into a freeze plug or into the head,as it is the coolest temp reading getting fresh coolant 1st.
As far as Trans temp I was thinking about tapping into my 4x4 pan.Any suggestions??
I know the EGT needs to have a Bung welded into the exhaust manifold very close to the head.Anybody done this one?

Here's an option for the H2O sending unit.

Granted, the needle doesnt move until the stat opens but that isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Transmission Temp Gauge

BADBOLT2

Don`t tap into your trans pan, you will not get a correct temperature reading. Look in JEGS or SUMMIT, in the transmission section for a temperature manifold, it is used to tap into the out going transmission fluid line going to the radiator, put your sending unit there and you will get the most accurate reading.

I hope this helps.

Larry.

Larry, thanks for the input .I guess that would make sense. The pan holds a lot of fluid and would probably be inconsistant. The line flowing towards the radiator would be an accurate reading of max temps.
Wonder if I can find some fittings to tap the sending unit into the line easily,or will I need A specific manifold??
Thanks again!-Dave.

Temperature Manifold

BADBOLT2

Ok, I got the information you need, the part is called a temperature manifold, it comes with 3/8 inch fittings, the transmission lines on our trucks are 3/16, you can get the fitting you need at a hardware store to change it over, you can get it at JEGS, the part number is 105-2286 it costs 35.99.
phone #1-800-345-4545.

I hope this helps.

Larry.
