Angry Who Makes The Call!??

What I am really curious about is what is FORD'S official policy on servicing a leaking IC. Does it include plugs, sensor and oil change or is it up to the dealer to make that call? It seems they must have some policy and what all should be done!!

Unhappy According to my recall notice....

It is replacing only the intercooler. Nothing was mentioned about plugs or O2 sensors in recall notice.

My intercooler is not leaking, but gets replaced this week.

Weird thing about it is that up to a week before I went in to have mine replaced, it wasn't leaking either. The last time I checked my coolant level, all was well. I was rather shocked when the mech told me there was 1/2 gallon of coolant pooled in the valley below the IC. When it started leaking, it really poured. Only 8k on her too.

SVT Tech Number

I called SVT today and asked the tech what all should be done by a Ford service department when you take your L in for the IC service notice. He said that, according to Ford, besides changing the intercooler, the plugs and sensors should be checked for contamination. I asked if SVT certified dealers should be aware of that and he said YES!!

Just like they are aware that '01+ SVT's get free loaner car, wash, and vaccum.
