dodge RT durango??

anybody got any opinions on the new r/t durango,, saw one of those today in the area, thought it was a 5.9L. I hope ford follows suit and starts making the expy thunder. I hardly ever worry about gas prices anymore while George Bush is president YAY TEXAS

Is there a new Durango R/T? I knew of the old(er) one, and it wasn't anything to be really impressed at.

It's still a 5.9L.They haven't done anything to it since it hit the market. We have nothing to worry about with them.

250HP
0-60=9.1 sec.
1/4 mile+16.3 sec.

I used to own a Dakota R/T. I had a ram-air hood with K&N filter, chip, headers, and a few cosmetic goodies. It ran pretty good, but when I took my first test ride in a Lightning I was hooked. The Lightning stock would very simply blow away my R/T without even trying. I would guess that it would have run a 15 second flat quarter mile, and that's after the goodies were added. Anyway, Chrysler recalled mine, and now I'm Lightning equipped. My wife and I took a Durango R/T for a test ride, 5.9 in that also, but it wasn't nearly as quick as my Dakota R/T was stock. The Durango had four wheel drive, which probably made a big difference. I'm sure my wifes LHS would smoke the Durango. .................................................. ................Phatford
