mazda frontier Supercharged
at least i think it was a mazda,,,, it definately was a frontier though,,, 4x4 supercharged extended cab sorta deal... i was real impressed when i raced him off the light,, same color (silver just like me
sure an L is faster, but i'll tell you the truth, i miss my off road 4x4
i would never sacrafice the spead i have for one, but maybe someday i'll have to go buy a fast 4x4 too. feels good to know you can drive over parking blocks and stuff and not worry about the truck

FYI
Weight: 3981 lbs
Engine Size: 3.3 liters
Engine Type: V6
Horsepower: 210 hp @ 4800 rpm
Torque: 246 ft-lbs. @ 2800 rpm
Maximum Payload: 1400 lbs.
Maximum Towing Capacity: 5000 lbs.
CanadianDriver: "Despite the supercharger, off-line acceleration is not that great. The Automotive Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC), in testing for 2001 Truck of the Year honours, recorded a 0-100 km/h time of 9.7 seconds, a full 1.2 seconds slower than the Mazda B4000 that was also tested. But the effect of the supercharger is more noticeable at full gait - the Frontier SC excelled at passing acceleration - 7.2 seconds from 80 to 120 km/h - faster than any truck tested this year."
They have conveniently not tested an L...

They are sorry excuse for a supercharged truck. Actually I'd say it's sorry for a Nissan, they have had some great cars and motors. And now they have throw a S/C on a v6 just to make as much power as Ford and Chevy v6's, whats wrong with them?
The VQ (3.5 or 3.0) won't fit, and the 3.3 L in the frontier is old (compared to other import engines), and the rest of the drivetrain will not handle more power and stay Nissan Level Reliable. Next body style expect class leading HP, from VQ base engines.

Just an fyi. Prior to my L, I had a 2000 Toyota 4x4 Tacoma and I put the TRD Supercharger, exhaust system, and K-N FIPK. It was a very nice running 4x4. I was about to put the TRD headers on when I got hooked on the L, and that was that. But it was a nice truck. I figure I was running about 280 hp (not rear wheel).
