I want that power pipe also! From what I hear, JDM may have them soon after they complete testing. Does anyone have another picture of BABolt's engine? I like the SVT on the intake also...

BABolt, can you post some pics?

Thanks!

Question

Something I've always wondered:

Are his products OFFICALLY LICENSED with SVT and with Ford?

I know MGW had to shell out BIG BUCKS ($$,$$$) to be OFFICALLY LICENSED to put the "Lightning" emblem and the "SVT" emblem on his products. They are trademarks. Just curious.

Who told you that MGW has to shell out "big bucks"?
And how much?

Just curious...

Jeff
George Ciamillo, Vice President and Owner of MGW LTD., also a good friend.

Ford and SVT are seperate entities each requiring thier own royalties. Bullitt is registered with Warner Brothers and the McQueen Foundation. All take 10% of GROSS PROFITS (W.B. 5% and McQueen 5% equals 10% of Bullitt sales). He is doing the RIGHT thing in being OFFICIALLY LICENSED so that no Legal REPRECUSSIONS can take place. Also, this makes his stuff original, not a cheap knock off like the Tommy Hilfinger jeans you can buy at the flea market. He has to pay 10% for EVERY item sold that has the Lightning emblem on it. Was he willing to take a chance and have Ford come down on him with legal action, NO, he's in it for the long haul. It's the reputable thing to do if you ask me.

If is says SVT, FORD, FORD RACING, or LIGHTNING then someone has to pay royalties. Do all parties do this or do they try to slip by and save a few bucks?

10% of $500 equals $50, adds up quick huh?

I don't know if he is paying royalties or not but, I believe there was no charge for the use of "Lightning" on the floor mats or the polo's that were made a while back. They were given permission to use the logo.

You can buy the tips, but as of last week, the powerpipe is not for sale.
