Post Yanking the nitrous system

almost all of the coating on the supercharger blades, was in my intercooler. i'm thinking it was from the ice cold (dry) nitrous hitting the blades. i used a lot , so with a fresh Ford Svt blower and intercooler, i think i will try the "bigass" pulley route for awhile. anyone running 14-15psi (on a real boost gauge ) ?, and what kind of plug life do you get?

BBQ, the nitrous was not the cause of the coating coming off. The coating will come off after time. This is normal. Stupid, but normal . The coating was 90% gone off my 99 blower with only 11k miles (no nitrous on that truck). When I did the intercooler replacement, the part of the cooler right under the blower outlet was clogged with rotor coating. I guess that's one more reason to get the recall done, a new, leak free, UNCLOGGED intercooler core .

You mean MRBBQMAN has a serious question for a change? Whats up with that? I think you give a little NOS to the Lightning.......aliitle to MRBBQMAN.............a little more to MRBBQMAN............. a little mooooooore to MRBBQMAN...................

I will be running 13 lbs. next week after I get my pulley from JL. There are several guys here running that much boost and more with no problems that Ive heard of.

The nitrous just gets rid of it quicker so when you get your 1st innercooler exchange its done flaking now the 2nd one can't fill up with flakes. Instead it just eat's up the excess chevy flakes left over from a good eating of a rare bow tie. :o

The coating comes off the rotors? WTF?!? Does that hurt anything other than clogging the intercooler? Can somebody tell me what the hell doesnt brake on these trucks? I'm thinking lately I dont want one of these as a daily driver, and that what the hell would I do when the warranty is up. I'm thinkin I just cant afford to play with one of these. Maybe I should get a stang

I recall the Supercharger was said to be part of the emissions package. If this is true wouldn't the plugging be covered under that part of the warranty. Using the 01 as an example. Since the intercooler leak is supposed to be a thing of the past..... I need another reason\excuse for Ford to clean and or replace if the coating is going to cause sluggish peformance....Ford been veddy veddy good to me...
