Painting Calipers

Has anyone done this? I was thinking of doing it and wanted to see some pix?

I just need to pick a color. I don't think black would look too good. Maybe red?

On my Impala SS I painted em "Aluminum", they looked great, didn't draw too much attention, but they looked really good thought.

Painted the one's on my silver L an aluminum color. Very nice accent that's not overstated. Matches the rims quite nicely too.

What color's your truck? Mine's black, and I painted them red. They look really good. However, note a few tips:

I used a few coats od primer the "thicken" the application when finished.

I also took the front calipers apart, which is E-Z and painted the pieces seperate. Make sure to paper the area completely.

Pull the pads out before painting

let the first coat dry fully before adding a second and third coat

Mine, overall took about 4 hours to do them all. Well worth it.

Good luck!
