Talking Magnaflow Catback on their website now!

Just noticed that magnaflow added a Lightning catback to their website. Does anyone know anything about it?

I do believe we have another rooster in the hen house! This is just what we needed. A little competition with Bassani. I knew it was just a matter of time for magnaflow to come out with this system. I love their products.

After talking to the Magnaflow people yesterday, the cat-back system will not be ready until after the Christmas holiday. When asked, the rep. guessed that the price would be around $500. I think that is a bit high but, once again, he guessed at the price. Pricing was not available at this time. Or maybe he is smokin' crack, ya never know!

Talking

Still cheaper than the Bassani system. Now if we could only hear it. From what iv'e seen, you can't get the bassani system for less than $650 delivered.

Question

Does anyone know if it is neccessary to weld this system in? I have heard that the supplied clamps on most of these exhaust systems allow for them to fly off. Or is that because most people on this board beat on their L's? Welding is not a problem for me, I just don't want to end up like that guy Bob, whose exhaust fell off with the clamps. Thanks for any info in advance.

He said around $500?? I'll bet that they're less than that and don't forget he's talkin msrp. Most dealers are all at least 50-75.00 less than that! I still think they'll be around $450. Time will tell.

Will the first person to see this system actually for sale please post that info and site. I have been happy with thier systems in previous vehicles, and I'm dying to get this system in my truck. With the amount of crap I'm buying now around the holiday's, I don't want to part with the extra $150-$200 for the bassani system.
Thanks
