Help!!!!! Big Problem!!!
Hey guys.... I have noticed the truck running alittle lean lately, I was driving around and the truck started tp shake??? It seems like under load it is misfireing or missing???? It still has a decent idle, but under load its BAD!!! Sound like plugs to you???? I have the Ngk #6's in for about 5000 miles now... Any suggestions?? It never popped just starting shaking and all when I wanted to give it gas!!!!! HELP!!!!!!
Believe me, this is something you DON'T just want to sit by and see what happens. Check your plugs. You might want to go back a few days, and check a post from me, about Engine problems. Includes some nasty pics of my plugs.
my car does it when i launch of from the line it kinda bounces around i thought it was just my tires not finding and pavement to grip it also did it once from 1st to 2nd which i thought the tires just were chirping!!! does that sound like its running to lean? i dont have a chip or and substantial mods i only have a flowmaster
please help?
please help?
Yeah I have saw alot of posts about plugs, I do not think the chip is causing the shaking, it may be alittle lean killing the plugs, but I know the shaking is Ignition related. I am willing to be its a plug, it showed no sign of a problem until i tried to get down on it tonight under a uphill load. I was hoping someone has went through something similar!!!!
Mike, these trucks run real rich from the factory. Notice all the black stuff on the pipes. With all the talk about these trucks blowing the #3 plug out, might want to check the tq on each plug, make sure they are staying down there.
But in your case, it just sounds like normal wheel hop. Might want to invest in some traction devices. Personally, I recommend Jay's Truk Traks, but each L owner has their favorites.

Try pulling the chip and resetting the ECU. If it still does it you have plug or coil problems more than likely. Boosted motors don't like to run lean for very long. Takes very little lean running to melt the plugs, valves, and pistons. Park it until you can check it out.
