Well first you start out with two pieces of white bread, add bologna and some cheese. Then you pile on the lettuce and tomato. Now comes the fun part, the condiments! I prefer mustard and horseradish (rather than mayo) it gives it a good bite.

Oh....

Wait a minute....

You said LAUNCH not LUNCH!!

J/K I have no suggestions. But try a search, I think this has been brought up before.

I agree with Don, if you are using stock tires. Just do a little burn out to remove any crap. DO NOT go through the water box. If you are using slicks/ET Streets, smoke the sh*t out of them for about 5-8 secs, stage, and leave around 800-1000 rpms and put the hammer down.

This question was already asked just today alone....go back a few pages and see "Visiting Track Tonight--need advice on launching". That is 1 of many postings on the topic.

In any event....I found the info on this board/topic helps...but in the end you will just have to keep fine-tuning your technique for your truck and mods and see what works best for you. I was too unagressive with the gas on my 1st visit to the track....my truck got alot more traction at the track than the street.

The water box is mainly for slicks. What can happen is...the water ends up in the grooves of the tires after burnout resulting in a wet tire during launch. Slippage

Unhappy Well then..........

If every question has been asked we should close the forum & just post FAQ's. You guys gotta relax....chair massage maybe. There will be new guys come on daily & they are as excited as you were at one time & full of questions. Personally, I don't think we should flame 'em or give them the ole "search" advice - - but that's just me. When I have had question, the people here have been very helpful, so from me to you all...THANK YOU!!!!!!!!

i usually get my best times on f1s if they are 29-32 psi and i burn em just until they start smoking. then i launch from 1200rpms. Maybe it's just the track but that's my 2cents. I usually get a 2.1-2.08 60' with that on F1s... as for slicks... im still trying to figure that out.
