Valve Body and Line Mod Valve

I ordered the PSP valve body and I am very happy with it. But I want harder shifts than what i got with the valve body. Can I still use a line mod valve?? If i can still use one, will it make difference since I already have that new Valve body?

thanks
joe

Ask your tuner, whom ever it may be, to raise the line pressure in your chip the next time you send it back for a re-burn.

Joe, a line mod valve is just one part of a complete shift kit. Your Factory Tech valve body has the upgraded line mod valve already in it. I can give you more line pressure with a chip, that won't be excessive or damaging, but will give you a harder shift than what you currently have. Hope this helps.

Question Attn: Sal

Hey Sal....Is a Level 10 and a FT valve body too much. I know the parts (springs) come in the Level 10 shift kit to serve the same purpose as the valve body, but I like the idea of replacing the entire valve body not just a few springs in it.

I am referring to stock pressures, not getting it incresed by a chip.

Thanks, Joe

Joe, I'm not quite sure I understand what you are asking. Do you want to combine the two? The FT Valve Body has the same parts in it as a Level 10 shift kit, just installed and matched to a new body casing.

OK maybe I am the confused one here (actually I am sure it is me ).

Maybe I should say this.....what exactly is all included in a Level 10 kit. Because I have read from the forums that a Level 10 kit shifts much harder that a FT valve body. Isnt there alot more to a shift kit than just the springs to increase line pressure?

Sorry if this is even more confusing.

Joe

A Level 10 kit has 3 springs and a line mod valve, you install it in your existing accumulator. A PSP/FT sshift kit is a new accumulator with the three springs and a line mod valve installed and with upgraded 310 springs and 321 valves (the ones deeper in the valve body). The line mod valve in the Level 10 is a larger size than the one is the PSP/FT kit nad the boost sleeve in the Level 10 is aluminum, the one in the PSP/FT kit is stainless.
They do about the same thing.
