Electrochromic Rearview Mirror

Anyone here ever changed there Rearview Mirror to something like this:

http://www.donnelly.com/products/int...ecrearview.asp

The one thing I dont like about the Lightning is the Rearview Mirror.

If anyone can recommend a good brand to go with, I will appreciate it...

Thanks

Thumbs up I have one......

and I got it from Mito. I have the one with the compass/temp in my Mustang and the autodim one without the compass/temp in the L. The one without the compass/temp for the L is $99 and fits perfect. Here is the link to the page and you can also order online. No complaints dealing with them

Hope this helps

my mom's Tahoe has that type of rearview mirror and the driver side mirror. It makes driving in traffic much easier and safer. It's neat to see it change, does yours give of a little greenish blueish tint when on?

yup and it clears up immediately when you put the truck in reverse. You do have to hook up that wire to the reverse lights though. I think it's the same mirror Ford uses in the Expy and such

I have one too, put it in over a year ago.

Tips:
- Don't wire it to the parking lights like they suggest, wire it to the headlights. That way if you are driving during the day with the parking/fog lights on, the mirror isn't also on for no reason.
- In addition to wiring the shut-off to the reverse lights, also wire it (with a diode) to the interior lights. So if you turn the dome/bed lights it lightens the mirror.

Are either of these mirrors a 'wider' angle than the stock mirror?

Want A Light
I'm about 90% sure that since the Ls have the lighted sun visors, that the wiring plug is there to plug in a factory Ford one from a Lariat or an Expedition. I will look into this.

Tan instead of grey! That's pretty sad. Great attention to detail for $30k, huh?

The 01's have lighted visors, the '00 does not.
