If you lock the doors with the keypad (the last two buttons on the left) and someone is inside the truck, after a few minutes the person can't unlock the doors with the unlock button on the armrest (passenger can't anyway). I've locked my doors that way while my GF was still in the truck. I'd run into the store and when I'd come back she'd try to unlock the doors with her button, but they won't unlock. You have to either open the door with the handle (from the inside) or with the keypad (if you left the engine running the fob won't work) to get back in. I usually lock her in when we are in a bad neighborhood and I've came back to the truck (in the rain I might add! lol) and I'm standing there watching her push the button and it won't work, she keeps pushing the button and I'm gettin' soaked!

Later,
Roger

After you shut off your truck, the window will still go up or down for one minute.A courtesy feature from your friends at Ford.

If you remove the inner fender liner on the feft front fender, revealing the frame member you will see, stamped in the steel, "Screw the EPA" is clearly visible.

Not really, but for a second a bunch of you were ready to run to the garage with wrenches in hand!

- nobody said the trivia had to be truthful!

If you look behind the right front tire on the frame there is a big green SVT sticker right in plain sight. I thought it looked pretty cool. Also, if you do the foglight mod the truck looks killer with only the park and foglights on.

Audible warning of seatbelts...

...not being worn or connected. You will get a series of chimes (23 or 23) until the seatbelt is hooked up. I could not stand the warning so putting on the harness is automatic for me now! It seems these warning chimes will come on about 5 times, every 90 seconds until it times out

I don't remember the 2000 model doing this little feature

You can turn off those chimes. I did they were driving me crazy. Look in the owners manual.

Thumbs up Thank's Easterisland !

Hopefully I can find a way to completely disable the chimes box all together.

Just remembered another one...........

Saw a thread over on svtperformance and it jogged my memory---did you know our horns are Italian ? Yep, made by Fiamm--kinda wimpy too? I changed mine out to another Fiamm model(?) to get a 'louder' blast a few months ago.

I walked up to my truck in the driveway, faced the gille and said,
"You are a Lightning!

No beep, flash, nothing.
So I said again, "You are a Lightning!"

It was as if it didn't understand me.
I said it a third time and was about to give up when both headlights rolled up towards the sky.

I don't know how Ford did that.
My truck isn't any faster and now I can't see where I'm going at night.

Okay, so I can't back that up...and I can't take credit for coming up with it either. But that is going to be my next mod.

How about mine.............."Objects in Mirror are Losing" I think that's usually a true statement!!!! See the pic in my sig below!
