Talking Quiet member update

Hi y'all,

I have not been overly active on this board for some time (mostly 'cause I forgot my username until tonight) but have been monitoring the intercooler situation since I bought my '2000 Lightning with 1300 1st owner miles on it. I did the recall on it after getting the official package, and the wiper motor cover recall and I am very happy Ford did the right thing. My dealer here in the northern Atlanta metro area had done 7 of them when they did mine last week.

Work looked good (no missing bolts, pieces, etc.). It did take an extra day though, they fired up truck after the exchange and got a lean condition error and had to order another part.

Anyway, main points I want ot make are
1. These bulletin boards are powerful and the manufacturers do listen!!
2. Ford did the right thing and in the long run we should value that before switching brands.

The Lightning is my daily driver since my other Ford is a little grumpy in stop and go

Good to hear from you

Sleeper! Sounds like Ford has done a good job correcting 'their' mistake. Hope my 01 avoids the need for an i/c replacement .

You're a couple of hours away from Silver Dollar raceway in Reynolds, GA. Track reopens on 1/26/02 for test-n-tune on their 1/4 mile. Come on down and join somw middle Ga. Lightning owners as we try for new 'bests'.

Dan
