Don't recall any Lightning that could run 13.0 stock, do you? That 13.0 run isn't a factory time its real world tested, (its also supercharged)

Hehe I understand! The thing is that Mercedes responds to mods like crap. One simple bolt on should get you 13 flat on a Lightning.

 

I had the honor to rent a E55 AMG while out in California.
This thing is awesome. It is a very pricey car, but for those who could afford I tip my hat to them.
I was on RT 10 in LAX and a hooked up CIVIC came up to me.
LAX has 6 lanes and when there is no traffic it is the best for racing. The CIVIC kept reving his engine I was just laughing at him. He did not realize this was an AMG not your regular old folk Benz. I really did not want to race him, but he kept reving it.
I said okay I want to see what this puppys got ? I stomp it and that E55 blew away the CIVIC it was nothing even funny.
I hit 120mph in a matter of no time.
I took E55 to 140 and it was not shaking. Theses BENZ are we put together.

I would not feel safe doing 140 in any truck/SUV.

 

fastest ive gone was 120 in my 01 Volvo S60 T5.. it was great, very smooth..

i was going around 70 on the 405 (so cal) and it clears up late at night.. so i hit it and next thing i new it i was going 120.

didnt even know it (until i looked down), i was very suprised by the feeling of the car at such a high speed.

nice car...i have a friend who has that same volvo. he says it is awsome when the turbos kick in. but you say you would still put your money on the L?? you sure must have a lot of money...seeing is how you will loose it to all the AMG's i have seen terrin up the roads in socal. its all good though. my reg 150 is slower then hell. i have to get mods just so freeway on ramps aren't scary! but thats another story...later

I have two friends that own e55 amg's and I've toasted them without fail. All I'm running is a chip and filter (the JL ram air isn't even on). The e55's are *nice* cars.. but I haven't had a problem with them. The freeway may be a whole new ballgame though. Haven't tried it.

 

I was Laguna Niguel today and stopped by the MB dealership to check out an AMG C32. They had one that I didn't think I would like (desert silver) but I was surprised - it is beautiful. If I get it, it wouldn't be a 1/4 mile, straightline or freeway racer, but I do know it would toast the L on a road course.
