tail light condensation
tail light condensation
just something i've noticed that i have never seen on any of my other trucks. When the L is parked for a while, and its about 40 - 50 temp outside,,, my rear tailights get condensation on them,,, however the only time i ever see any of it on my windows and mirrors is when its parked overnight. Is this something which happens to all L's,,, mine is an 01 silver)
On the inside or outside of the tail lights? Outside - yeah, my '01 does too. It just means that the plastic is cold enough to condense water. Inisde - hmm, check to see if the fixtures are sealed right.
Its on the outside,, thats what i figured it was,,,, but its still seems very weird,, i've never seen condensation appear sooo easily. sorta bummed about it too,, odds when it gets colder out that will be ice instead
Tail light condensation
I've had the two tail lights on my '01 Lightning replaced due to that already. Seemed like every time it would rain or I'd wash the truck, there would end up being some condensation inside the light. My mechanic buddy at the dealer said that there's no fix to it. The seal's crapped out, and new lights need to be put in. It was all under warranty. I guess you'd just have to bring it into the dealership and show them the condensation to prove it. Found out the lights are $270 (CDN). Cheers for the warranty!
That's been the only thing wrong so far.......other than the seatbelt check.
