Unwanted Lift :(

Hey everyone... I lowered my truck a few months back and untill today have been using the stock shocks. I just finished installing the KYB front and rear shocks and now my truck sits higher then it did with the stocks. So my question is, will it lower itself back down after some time and weight has been applied to it or am I stuck with the slight lift? BTW, the drop was a grould force drop with AIM hangers and the shocks are the same length as the stocks. I know I should have went with shorter shocks for the drop so that was my fault. Here is a pic before the KYB's.. Ill take a after pic in the daylight tomarrow... Thanks in advance for everyones help..

Looks good!

Say, is that pin-striping under the lightning logo?

Thanks guys, but those pics were taken before the new KYB shocks. Ill post the after pics tomarrow. Maybe im overreacting, but i dont want my truck to be any higher then it is in those pics.
01Lightning, yes that is pinstriping. It goes down the sides of my truck. When I bought the truck, it was used with about 3100 miles on it and the previous owner had it put on.

Kyle you have the FRPP kit with AIM rear shackles? Is that all you have in the rear to lower your L? Wasn't the FRPP shackles longer than the AIM ones? If not can you tell me where you got your AIM shackles and the part number? I have the FRPP kit on my 01 and the back is higher that the front and I want to level it out. Thanks Jeff

Hey Jeff, the only things I used from the FRPP kit were the front coils. For the rear I used a AIM shackle/hanger kit that I had purchased before the FRPP kit. I sold the shackles that came with that kit and stuck with the AIM shackles I had already installed. Hope this helps, Kyle

Yes and no. The truck will drop after the suspension is compressed. But, since gas shocks push a bit, they will aid the springs and coils in lift, even though it's slight. The same is true on the unweighted side while cornering. Measure the fender to the ground and after a day of driving, measure it again. It should drop a little.

After they wear out (probably less than 10,000 miles), put on adjustable shocks that are oil filled.
