Cool New Best...again

Previous to last night's running, I had run a best of 12.52 @ 109+ in mid 40 degree weather with pretty low humidity. Last night I got better times twice. The following are my two better times:

1/4 et: 12.507
1/4 mph: 107

This run showed I had a 1.61 60-ft time (HA! HA!)

And the best run to date:

1/4 et: 12.474
1/4 mph: 108.44

The temp was about 10 degrees higher than last time and VERY humid (actually foggy), which definitely affected my times/mph.

I would like to send a big THANK YOU out to Mark @ LFP for getting me the upper pulley in time! The truck was pinging in higher rpms, which I band-aided with some octane boost. Once I get my 3.73s installed (again, thanks to Mark) and my chip reburned for the added boost and gears, I see 12.2s - 12.3s in my near future!

Oustanding ets To you attribute the lower ets to the new upper pulley--in hotter, higher humidity weather? What lower pulley are you using, slicks?

Thanks LIGHTNINROD!

Yes. If I would not have had the additional pulley, I feel I would probably have been in the 12.7 range, maybe high 12.6's. I am running JL's 4# lower, and I run 16x10.5x26 ET Streets.

Hey ICULOKN, just make sure you get a reburn on that chip! The added boost really woke mine up. I have sent mine for a reburn now. I was band-aiding the pinging with octane boost, which I do not like or recommend. Do you spray? If you do, just be very careful how much extra boost you use. Then just hang on!

No NOS yet, I am getting pinging with my 3lb pulley & the NGK #6's now without an additive. Most of mine is due to the cold weather though. So right now I only cruise it!!! I am soon to be in the Florida heat for good so pinging due to cold air should never be a issue again!!!!
