Get you a 2in rear shakle drop. It levels the truck out some and helps with hook up on the stock tires.....

or rear springs, Hotchkis has a stiffer rear spring that lowers the rear, but changes the ride quality. Or the new composite springs

Check with Mark. He has about the best price on 2" drop shackles for the rear.

Stock suspension is the best for ride and clearance. I dropped mine with the Hotchkis kit 1/2. Stock the rear bump stops have 4" to the axle "travel", with it lowered 2" it takes clearance/travel. So now the rear bottoms about once a day or so. As soon as I put over 400lbs in the bed it is on the bump stops. 2" on the rear makes it a smidgen lower than the front.

I guess the combo of rough streets and high speeds are a main factor in my bottoming out. Or maybe it is the 1000 lbs of concrete and play sand in the bed

Apex,

Ever think about cutting a 2 x 10 to fit in the 'guides' on either side of the fenderwells?

I'd hate to see (or feel) what 1000 lbs of sand and concrete does to the front of the bed (and cab) under sudden "OH *****!!!" braking...

Cool bedliner by the way.

Bob

Thanks Bob! That liner is NO slip stuff I couldn't drag the bags off I was on my way home from getting my liner put in and ran into a buddy that would feed me if I helped him pour a walkway. I drove regular and got no cargo shift at all. We have a group deal with a local XLiner guy he gave us the SVT logo free it makes them look factory I would like it tinted two swquirts lighter to match the side rails better

I never bottmed out with the 2in shakle drop. It makes the truck sit close to level, still alittle higher than the front, but very close to level!!!!

Has anybody had any warranty problems with just the rear dropped? I really can't imagine any problems.
I would really like to see my father lower his truck with a set, so I am very interested in what you guys recogmend. Is one brand preferred over another?

2" Lowering Shackles

This was probably one of my best mods. It almost leveled my truck out, but it's still just a little higher in the back.

If Interested

EDIT: OK, just saw your link.
