Oh my gosh...I just got a phone call that my red 02 will be here at the dealership on Tuesday!!!!!!!!!!! The salesman told me that Ford produced all the preorder vehicles and are delivering them becuase sales were down 25% for cars and so the union workers had nothing to do.......so they made all the lightnings and those of us (LIKE MEEEEEE)who preordered will get our lightnings well before christmas. the rest of the lightnings will be available in the spring. that's the information I was told....MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ME!!! I'll post pictures right when I get it that day! and you guys can help me with some mod decisions hahahah I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!

oh and last night my grandpa was freaking out...he told me, "I'm scared!! There is only one vehicle more powerful than your truck...the VIPER!" hahahah fun stuff

They are all assembled on the same line....just like the normal boring cars....by the same people.

 

Wow, that is awfully fast that they are hitting the dealers here already. When I got my 00 it was the last day of February and mine was the 1st of the 2 to come in at my dealership. So which dealer are you getting your's from? Hopefully once you get it broken in, you will take it to the track and see how she runs. Don't waste your time at Firebird as you will be lucky to get 3 runs in for a night. Go to Speedworld on Wednesday nights--that's when all the highschool kids bring their 16 second rice burners out and think they are fast. Last time I was at Speedworld I made 19 passes in an hour and a half.

Peter B - I ordered my L through Lou Grubb Ford on Frank Llyod Wright. They said it was being shipped up from Glendale tomorrow, so I'm crossing my fingers I will be cruising in my 02' tomorrow night. Yeah. I hate Firebird, I go to Speedworld often with my boyfriend in his rice car (Supra) . Though he runs 12's, so i guess its ok!

Yeah,I much prefer Speedworld over Firebird,Even though Firebird is only 3 miles from my house vs. 55 mi. to Speedworld.You pretty much can get unlimited runs in, as opposed to only 3-4 in a whole nite @ Firebird Fri nite. drags.Last time out to Speedworld I had the fastest car/truck out there,Blowin' all these ricers/SS Camaro/Trans am/Mustangs into the weeds is GREAT!!later,Dave.
