Question Lightning Tuner?

I just received my new iridium plugs. (And very quickly I might add. Thanks!) With the mods I am currently running, where do you suggest I set the gap?

He's mention .40 in an earlier post on plugs.

Arr, forgot the gap. I like to run .040 for gap, no matter what the application on the Gen 2s. General rule for power adder vehicles is about .035, but that's with a conventional ignition system. With COP (coil on plug) ignition, the spark is hotter and stronger, so it can jump a larger gap. And the larger the gap, the higher the spark voltage will be. But if you go higher than .040 with extra boost or nitrous, the spark will have a tough time jumping the gap, so you need to keep it at .040.

You're right! I even remember reading that post. I'd better pack a bag and hop a plane to parts unknown before the search police come knocking on my door.

Be very, very, VERY careful gapping those Iridiums. You should use a gapper that does not contact the center electrode at all. It is very thin and can break off with little pressure from a tool.
