Nice hose for Breather Cap

Just installed the breather cap on the RH bank. I wasn't 'tickled pink' with the fit, so I found this hose at Autozone. Fits good.
Number is 4353 for those interested

You need to oil the filter-looks like it didn't come pre-oiled.

Maybee it is a paper element filter.

Skagel The breather does two things
(1) on our supercharged engine it keeps oil from being sucked into the intake.
(2) it will free up a little power at higher rpm's

This matched my drivers side. I didn't like the fit of the regular breather.

I don't think I need to oil this type of filter. I will check into it though.

loosebolt:(cool 'name')

Is that a 'HELP' part number?

It looks like you put it where the PVC valve(?) was located? Did you eliminate the tube going to the intake boot? If so, this is the first one I've seen. I put one on the right valve cover(eliminating that tube to boot connection) but didn't know you could put one on the left(I do have the oil breather cap filter installed.)

(Mondo, that is the left side--see the cover for the battery connection?)

Btw, that does look like a cotton-gauze type(K&N) filter--should be oiled.

That part number was the number on the hose. I went to Autozone and stared at the hoses until I found this one. I am sure it could be had at any autoparts store with a number cross reference.

As far as the tube that the pvc plugged into, when I took out the pvc and the short hose that was connected to it, I plugged up the plastic hose with a 3/8 vacuum cap.

Thanks for the info about oiling the filter.
